To be honest, I had hoped it would have the same pronounciation as the word "course" (French word for "race", right?).

OK. You know, I think it's not common to see two words written nearly the same way and pronounced exactly the same. A small difference between two words means most of the time that the pronounciations are completely different. I think. But I'm sure Motsak's gonna pull out all the counter-examples.

Son, surely you don't mind if I write in French next time? Ça me prend un peu trop de temps d'écrire en anglais à chaque fois, même si ça me fait un peu d'entraînement.

By the way, a new fastest typist is coming soon

Rather think he will have troubles to move his fingers, no? Unless his hand his oversized too!

I'm using it now. It definitely has a different feel from my old Microsoft keyboard. It's hard to say yet whether I'm faster or less error-prone with it, but I'll let you know how things go.

Thanks! I'd definitely be interested to have your general appreciation of the keyboard once you will have gotten used to it. Also, I've read these keyboards were very noisy, do you find it an inconvenience or is it not shocking to you?

It's noisier than my old keyboard, but that doesn't bother me. I just got 187wpm on typing speed, which I think is the 4th highest score I've ever gotten there. Something seems to be wrong with my "h" key though...it stays down for a split second too long when I press it.

(This was about the unicomp spacesaver keyboard.)

It's fine, except the space key requires too much force to press down and also doesn't pop back up fast enough when I press it. This means my thumb hurts if I type too much, and if I need to type lots of spaces quickly sometimes I can't.

So it doesn't live up to the hype, does it? What about the mechanical key switches, is it just a marketing tool? Would you say you prefer your good old Microsoft kb?

Well, in casual typing the slow space key doesn't really affect me. I have been using the new keyboard lately, but I'm not sure yet which I prefer. This keyboard definitely feels different, but I'm not sure yet whether I think it feels better.
