Zone Dactylo / Typing Zone

I was never able to get TypingZone working in linux, even under wine.

I met the organizer in person (he happened to be around Boston, and I actually managed to get a free Das Keyboard from him!), and he said that they are planning to hold it again in the future. I have no idea when though.

Just did it. 714.6 cpm / 3 errors / score: 6996. (english)

For some reason, the scoreboard has me listed as living in Ithaca.

Congrats. That's far above the winner from last year, so you have a great shot at winning. You're motivating me to train harder for this, but I'm not confident I could sustain such a score for 10 minutes even if I'm typing at the top of my game.

Indeed, it's Dan who declined the finals.

The competition is being sponsored by the makers of Das keyboard (http://www.daskeyboard.com/). They're the ones paying the $2000, and paying for the plane tickets to Austin, etc.

Well, it's not 100% clear if I would have been able to participate anyway, since I was ineligible for being a territory resident (from our conversations it seemed this could be fixed, but that wasn't a promise).
