What is the best way to practice the permanent texts? I heard that some people practice very slowly and try to build up very good accuracy, and slowly speed up.

I've heard that others practice one sentence at a time, until they are very fast on each section.

Suggestions?

This is in no way an accusation.

I'm just curious if anyone thinks this score might be illegitimate. If he can type 166wpm on this text, he is one of the fastest typists in the world.

Is he on other typing sites? Why doesn't he do the Masters? And it seems he is not even a native english speaker ...

Sometimes if I start typing very quickly, the program will malfunction and not record some characters.

Probably about 30 times this month, it recorded my first word as "Crtains" instead of "Certains", even when I didn't type it wrong.

A few times it even recorded as "Ctains"

This only happens at ...

Wine 1.0.1 is what I'm using now and it works. . .

Also, a new version of Wine was just released a few days ago. Perhaps you could try that.

I read your other post and saw that you have trouble doing TZ due to Linux.

What distr. are you using? I run the latest version of ubuntu and my windows emulator (wine) is able to run Typingzone.

It's not perfect, and it sometimes crashes, but in general it works well enough
