Hello everyone!
My name is David, son of Momone.
You probably know me from social media for my song “I ate a croissant and now it’s gone”, and maybe you’ve seen me on the TV show “La France a un incroyable talent” — or maybe not, if you’re not a fan of television.
I’ve been a participant on TypingZone for a very long time (I think it goes back over 20 years), but I’ve regressed in the meantime.
Recently, I wanted to get back into typing, but since I use a Mac, I couldn’t use Jean-Didier Febvay’s program anymore, as it’s only compatible with PCs and Windows.
So, I started reprogramming for Jean-Didier while I was at a weight loss retreat last year. I took the time to properly design a way to type online — directly on the web — with the same millisecond-level responsiveness for ghost keystrokes and a design that’s roughly similar to Jean-Didier’s software.
I’m sharing this great site with you, which you can use right now by logging in with the same username and password as on TypingZone. (My site is obviously connected to TypingZone, so if you break records there, they’ll be automatically updated on TypingZone.)
Here it is: https://qualitesite.com/zonedactylo (It’s a secure site just like TypingZone, so no worries!)
While waiting for the full migration to TypingZone, I invite you to test my site to see if everything is working perfectly!
Of course, I worked in collaboration with Jean-Didier on this project, and he will be validating my message shortly.
Best regards!
P.S.: While the migration to TypingZone is still in progress, I recommend adding https://qualitesite.com/zonedactylo to your bookmarks!

I would like to thank my friend David for the time he dedicated, and for his passion and loyalty to Typing Zone
He did an outstanding job bringing the timeless Typing Zone program to life as a web interface.
Don’t hesitate to try out his work and give us your feedback:
https://qualitesite.com/zonedactylo
Since this site is connected to Typing Zone, it can already submit scores (for now, this is limited to permanent contests).
You just need to log in with the same credentials—go ahead with confidence!
A full integration of his work into Typing Zone is planned, and of course, it will eventually be possible to take part in the Masters online!

Excellent work! This should significantly streamline the process for new users to begin submitting their times to the site.
I did observe that the French text includes accented characters (e.g., é) that are not present in the downloadable version. This discrepancy poses additional difficulty for users of the web client compared to those using the application. Could you confirm whether this was intentional?

Oh, thank you very much!
Actually, it had been so long that I had forgotten about this detail.
Alright, so I just checked, and in the English version of the program, the accents are indeed hidden (but just like in the French version where they are shown, you can type the letter with or without the accent—both work).
This wasn’t intentional, but we will also make sure that the online English version does not display accents, so that nothing changes from the current system.
Thanks again!
