Master of December

Post by Son »

Finally, this long year comes to a conclusion. There's still one more text to type, but the upmost position has been decided since long. So.... may I be the first one to congratulate Motsak for a great run:
- WELL DONE, MY FRIEND!! -
But I believe you could have encountered a more powerful opposition, hadn't been for a couple of factors, which I'm going to expose briefly:
- Jeandid skipped a few masters, especially at the beginning of the year;
- Romain and David, les freres prodige LOL, have manifested a shrinking interest in this competition, for reasons that remain unknown to me;
- as for my part, I had to deal with a thrilling last university semester, and also my graduation thesis -> all of these have kept me from attaining my best form; please don't take this as an excuse, I don't think I would have been able to beat you (Motsak) anyway. Besides, I've secured the second place, which is more than I had wished for.

Last but not least, I want to cross my fingers for Chris ("Insane"), who can still make it to the top 3, if he puts on a great performance and manages to beat Cyrille. But it won't be easy!!!

So... good luck everybody, and let's all wish Santa Claus brings us faster and "smarter" fingers, for the year to come (2008).
Take care!

Héheyy!
Thank you guy!
I understand that your school is not an excuse and I am sure that u may have finished on the top of this contest if u participated to all masters!
Don't worry, the following year, u will be the best (if u participate in all masters).
I become old... and I loose naturally dexterity! Lol =)

Now we can compete on the short text of URIKOR.. and I admit that u r really good!

Alé! Goodbye!

Congratulations Son for your 2nd rank ! You are the first non-native French-speaker to have such a rank in the championship !

I think we all agree that Karen is the best of us ; I missed many Masters at the beginning of the year, but if I had participated to all Masters, the higher rank that I could hope is the 2nd rank... And it is my objective for next year ;-) I will participate in all Masters !

Yes, Motsak, you are indeed getting old. But so am I.... and unfortunately, I'm older than you. :P Until the age of 21 or 22, you can still improve, if you keep practicing. Of course, it wouldn't hurt if you tried using more than 5 fingers, LOL, but don't take it as a "must", but rather as a "what if..." :)

Thanks, Jeandid, for your appreciation. But maybe next year you should aim for the 1st place. Don't forget that you are still above us on the permanent texts, although we tried very hard. So, on the long texts, and even medium texts, you can beat us most of the time.

I really think that I can't trust for the 1st place...

OK, I'm the top-scorer of the French permanent text, but it is a permanent text... the text is the same for years... So, this kind of contest gives an advantage to persons like me, using 10 fingers. Because when training and training, day after day, the 10-fingers method is the best.

But the true skill is to type fast QUICKLY, not with years of training... And Karen is one class above me... Even when I try hard on a Master, I can't win against him ;-)

The only chance for me is that he injuries one of his hands during next year :shock: and that's not a thing I wish him at all !!

It would be pretty easy to loads of people to try their chance against guys like you or Chris.

No, I can't help crying on my keyboard thinking about poor Motsak forced to retire from competition...

:cry:

So sad...
'All right,' said the Cat, and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

No, unfortunately I don't use Skype.
And I used to have a microphone, but it doesn't work anymore :(
When I buy another one, I'll let you know !

In the mean time, good luck for this year's last master!
I am currently at 122 wpm... I can do 125-130 but I became really bored of typing it, so ... it's easy to beat me at 122 wpm ;) Right?
