Paymon Warasta English score

Post by deroche1 »

Paymon Warasta has an English score of 169.66 listed on the website. This score has been on the site since prior to 2015 when I joined.

I believe this score is cheated. I'm a moderator on Typeracer.com and I've banned many of Paymon's accounts for cheating. Paymon used two different scripts to fake scores, and his true average speed was around 120 wpm, with peaks well below 200 wpm.

Using Typeracer measurements, Paymon's Typingzone score is 203.59wpm, and this is on no easy text. Could Paymon have achieved a score on the Typingzone English text far faster than he could any text on Typeracer? For reference, I have achieved better scores on 212 Typeracer texts than I have on the Typingzone English permanent text.

I don't see this score being possible, knowing Paymon's ability on Typeracer.

Cheaters

I concur.

Sadly, some people get frustrated for not being able to progress beyond a certain threshold. It's not the slowest people who become cheater, it's those frustrated just-above-averages who resort to such cheap tricks.

Jeandid should improve the anti-cheating system. Maybe add some typing captchas on the site (similar to those on typeracer.com) and users submitting scores above a certain speed should first pass the captcha before their highscores are validated.

I think Captcha is a good idea. Is there any way for the Typingzone program to detect other programs running that could potentially contain scripts or macros? I think the program could just shut down if there was any program running on the machine that isn't whitelisted. This would likely cause frustration with members, but it would cut down on the possibility of cheating.

I agree too, for me, delete that account. Even we should eliminate some others we know are duplicate or triplicate.

Supposedly, I had an offer to be a moderator and I was delighted with that in order to work for "clean" a bit the classifications and to have a little more control over the page/competition to make it something more playable. But the reality is different, sadly we can wait sitting by the changes.

For me, Michael, gather the maximum information to be sure, and make the changes that you think are necessary and that are in your hand.

Good luck!
