Mesdames et messieurs, I present you with the new and improved record on master text:
166.45 !

While I typed the next, everything felt so perfect, I've never experienced that before, I swear .... my fingers were dancing, I was in total control, no slips, no hesitations. The perfect run.
The key to achieving this? Well, a "foreplay" of about 20 minutes, consisting of slow-to-medium-fast typing of the text, while keeping a low error-rate (close to zero) and relaxing my whole body - every member, every joint, even my eyebrows and my jaws (which are usually quite tense).

This is definitely the best result I could come up with, even if I trained for another week, so I'll just stop now and wait for tomorrow. It's not about winning or losing this master, for me anymore, because I feel like I've already won something very important - the zen of typing For the first time in my life, I feel like I've reached the utmost limits of my physical/mental capabilities.
I wish you all to experience that - it's heaven on earth -> and NO, I'm not a sick pervert with bizarre fetishes

Mine was about 106. I remember Jean Didier once said that we could improve the original speed by up to 50 wpm. This means I should have reached 156, at best. Actually, I gained 60 wpm, and this has never happened to me before - as far as I can recall.
On the other hand, if you got a 120 on your first try, then it's your duty to win this master !

I think this comparison doesn't hold between someone who's typing in his language and someone who's not. Even though you have made some remarkable progress in French, I suppose your fingers still don't really "guess" the shape of the words on first reading, unlike in English and Romanian. That means you have room for much more progress as you practice the text and develop automatisms than Karen (or me). For example, I did 101 on my first try, but I couldn't reach 151 in my wildest dreams (I'm sitting at 126 right now).

That said, congrats on your record, that's an amazing score, and after all not so far from your 173 joke It seems like you really were in a flow state¹, that's a much sought after feeling that doesn't come often!

I join what Damz said. We cannot really compare our typings. Someone who doesn't know/speak fluently a language and who gets a score like yours has further merit than someone who types in his own language.

Hey, Krom, t'sais l'"orgasme dactylographique" dont on parlait y a des lustres ? J'crois bien qu'Andrei a vécu la même transcendance A la seule différence que moi j'lavais vécu sur + de 180 MPM. Cela dit, c'est pas sa langue ! Si j'tapais 6 lignes à + de 160 mots minutes en Roumain, j'serais en transe peut-être ? :p

Plutôt que d'orgasme, je parlerais plutôt d'atteindre le 7ème sens

Cela m'est déjà arrivé, c'est une sensation de maîtrise tout à fait bizarre, mais ça ne m'est pas du tout arrivé sur ce Master, où je fais à peine 140, et je n'aurai pas le temps de m'entraîner davantage...

Jeandid, faut absolument que t'améliores un peu ton score pour battre Zoran qui est à 140 environ. Il va m'en parler pendant des semaines s'il te bat Pitié !

Moi j'frai pas mieux :/ J'ai pas trop l'temps ce soir. J'ai tapé un quart d'heure, ça n'a mené à rien ! D'un côté j'me tâte... Soit j'mets mes cours de côté et j'me motive pendant une heure ou deux pour tenter les over 168, soit j'men tiens à ce fichu 163 et j'me laisse encore une fois devancer par The Master.

Anyway! Il faut parfois être raisonnable :p

( Haha, que du mytho ! En fait, mon objectif initial était de passer la barre des 165 :/ ensuite celle des 168 (qui représente, pour ce genre de texte, un score trop cool, à mes yeux) ! )

Cela dit (parce que faut bien s'rattacher à des éléments regrettables pour se rassurer)... mon fichu 163 contenait 1 erreur + un ralentissement
Bref... Il est évident avec les scores qu'on a réalisés (Andrei & moi-même) qu'on aurait pu, avec un peu de chance, atteindre la barre des 170 ! En revanche... C'est vrai que 170 sur un texte pareil, wow Ce serait une des plus belles performances jamais réalisées sur ZD !

Aaah, I'm very proud my text did that to you! Besides, I'm glad I couldn't score any point, even with a 80 wpm on a long text, because we reached the highest scores for long texts! (My texte was the shortest possible, I reckon.)

Je suis super content d'avoir atteint les 80 sur un texte long, pour moi c'est vraiment signe de progrès, mais (il me semble vous l'avoir déjà dit) en fait c'est juste la facilité du truc à taper qui en est à l'origine...

Super master, encore, ce mois-ci, et les deux qui n'arrêtent pas de se courir après, pour l'éternité.
Je vais essayer de vous concocter un truc encore plus facile pour le prochain texte court, qui va vraiment pouvoir révéler les capacités des meilleurs.

Je suis assez content de mon score, puisqu'il s'agit tout de même de mon nouveau record en master et que je n'avais jamais passé la barre des 100 sur un master long auparavant...mais je regrette de ne pas avoir franchi cette barre des 130 compte tenu que j'ai commis trois fautes sur mon record dont deux sur la dernière ligne en raison du stress !
Damien et Martin je vois que c'est toujours aussi serré entre nous ! Bravo Damien pour avoir fait le meilleur score (avec une amélioration de 0,1 mpm le derniere jour ?) et bravo aussi Martin tu as bien monté sur la fin et tu limites les dégâts. Au classement c'est super serré j'espère que je pourrais participer à tous les masters cette année (le mois prochain je suis pas sur du tout ).

Concernant le texte il me plaisait assez, mais j'aimerais bien que le prochain texte ne soit pas en français ou alors s'il est en français que ce ne soit pas un texte qui parle de dactylographie (c'est vrai que ce genre de texte devient un peu répétitif).
